MIS Research Journals

Information systems (IS) research performed at business schools investigates the phenomena that emerge from the interaction of technological and social or organizational systems (Lee 2001). Rather than focusing purely on the technical aspects of an information technology, its primary focus should be on the behavioural, managerial, and organizational implications that arise in the management and utilization of information systems (Zmud 1995).

The following listing of "top-tier" IS journals is drawn from Boudreau et al. (2001) and Nord and Nord (1995) and gives the McMaster University library catalogue numbers and links to their online content (which may be abstracts only and may require subscriptions to access).
